Darin Ingels, ND, MT(ASCP)

Dr. Ingels is a licensed naturopathic physician. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in medical technology from Purdue University. He then went on to receive his Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University and completed his residency at the Bastyr Center for Natural Health in Seattle, Washington. In addition, Dr. Ingels interned with the Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Seattle, Washington where he worked as part of a multi-disciplinary team in the co-management and care of patients with cancer.

Dr. Ingels is an expert at allergy identification and elimination, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of environmental, chemical and food allergies for both children and adults. He is experienced in working with people seeking comprehensive allergy services including non-invasive allergy testing utilizing the Orion®, sublingual immunotherapy, nutrition, botanical medicine, homeopathy and more.

Dr. Ingels has been published extensively and is the author of two books, The Natural Pharmacist: Lowering Cholesterol (Prima, 1999) and Natural Treatments for High Cholesterol (Prima, 2000). He continues to be an active medical journalist and weekly contributing author to Healthnotes Newswire, a medical report of the latest journal articles on nutritional and botanical medicine.

Dr. Ingels is a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP), the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) and the American Academy of Environmental Medicine (AAEM). For the past two years, he has served on the Board of Directors for the Naturopathic Physicians Licensing Exam (NPLEX) as the chair of Microbiology and Immunology.

Dr. Ingels has more than 10 years experience working in the healthcare field and is respected as one of the leaders of the naturopathic profession. He is also regarded as a caring physician who is genuinely attentive to his patients.

Michelle Ingels, MTCM, LAc

Michelle is a licensed acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree at Purdue University. She then went on to complete a four year Master's degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine (MTCM) at the Northwest Institute of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Seattle, Washington. Her training includes western medical education, pharmacology, nutrition, acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine.

She is licensed by the State of Connecticut and is board certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Her memberships include the American Association of Oriental Medicine (AAOM) and the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM).

Michelle has a broad background in family health care, with additional training in women's health. She is one of a limited number of acupuncturists in the country with extensive experience and expertise in the treatment of various women's health diseases including PMS, endometriosis, fibroids, infertility, maternity care and menopause. Her thorough knowledge of Chinese herbal medicine and gentle approach to patient care have enabled her to assist many people in their pursuit of health and well-being.

In addition to her private practice, Michelle is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Bridgeport Acupuncture Institute.
